Surfing Western Australia
Based in Margaret River there are a range of surf breaks to cater for the beginner through to the most experienced surfer. Most of the best breaks are north of Margaret River along the west coast of Cape Leeuwin, with some more sheltered breaks on the east coast of the northern tip for those out of control days. The closest surf break to the accommodation is Surfers Point (9.0km) which is Margaret River's main break, the host of the annual Drug Aware Margaret River Surf Pro (8th-19th April 2016).
The following provides an indication of the breaks locally available, starting at Surfers Point and heading north along the west coast of Cape Leeuwin.

- Surfers Point (9.5km) - Breaks north and south side, both sides can handle large swell. Significant flat water paddle to both lineups, if you can make it that far you should be ok. Waves are often significantly larger than they look from the car park up to 20ft.
- Grace Town (17km) north point, south point and back beach. Generally all reef breaks. Working in a range of conditions and swell sizes. Great wave location.
- Guillotine and Gallows (22km), small swell reef breaks 4-5ft. Good locations when the swell is too small for other breaks.
- Moses Rocks (28km) a whole combination of reef and beach breaks. Good location for small to medium swells.
- Injidup carpark (38km), needs a big swell to wrap around the point from the south west and provides some shelter from the south west wind, best to 6 ft.
- Yallingup (39km) is a consistent big swell location with left and rights up to 12 foot.
